MIT Capital Partners is an early/growth stage investment advisory student organization.

Since 2018, we’ve leveraged the talent and entrepreneurial ecosystem of universities to augment the investment teams of a global base of corporate, government, and independent venture capital firms. With our unique connections, we’ve helped support and nurture the MIT, Harvard, Princeton, UPenn, and NYU startup and VC ecosystems.

Our mission

We aim to connect VC firms with university students who have demonstrated ability to perform due diligence services and draw actionable insights from our exclusive access to university startup ecosystems. We believe that students should have access to real world experience in investing and entrepreneurship, as well as tangible access to funding and mentorship for their ventures.

Diligence

Join a team of 5 members partnered with a leading VC firm’s investment team. MITCap members conduct diligence—such as building competitive landscapes, assessing product uniqueness, and conducting customer calls—throughout the semester to inform firms’ investment decisions on active deals in their pipelines.

Sourcing

Join our sourcing team to identify and recommend investment opportunities to MITCap’s angel and venture capital partners. Members build relationships with stakeholders across the university, interview startup founders, and communicate frequently with MITCap partners.

Community

As a rapidly growing yet close-knit organization, MITCap combines a startup’s culture of ownership and innovation with an established organization’s dedicated mentorship and institutional resources.
